Haunting Portland-produced web series makes it big in Hollywood

The rules for making it in Hollywood in the internet age are starting to change.  It used to be that aspiring Oregon actors, producers and other content creators had to move south to get scare up stardom.

Now a Northwest-produced paranormal web series is breaking the rules.

According to the Hollywood Reporter:

“The Weinstein Co. has closed a multiplatform deal to adapt popular web series The Haunting of Sunshine Girl into both a (young adult) book and a film franchise.

It’s great to see the Grimm, the Librarians and the like shooting in Oregon.  But it’s even sweeter when Hollywood comes to us for creepy content.
